Zi Wei Yuan Hotpot is a popular fish head hotpot restaurant chain known for its traditional method of cooking with charcoal.

Zi Wei Yuan hotpot is founded in Raja Uda, Butterworth, Penang. The local Hokkiens like to call it “Hu Lor”.

Zi Wei Yuan hotpot is renowned for its traditional charcoal cooking method which adds a a stronger flavourful profile to the broth. We are also known for our commitment to provide the freshest ingredients to our customers.

Our broth is simmered for 15 hours with only 6 ingredients including fish, chicken bones, white pepper, ginger and two of our secret ingredients. This long hours of cooking allows the flavours of the broth to be 100% infused with all the goodness of the ingredients. Hence, it is not only delicious but also full of nutritional values.

Our signature fishhead pot is created using fresh fish heads, tender taro, Chinese Cabbage, Fried Beancurd and Seaweed.
